The Horiuchi Foundation supported British artist Oliver Marsden’s residencies in Koumi City, Nagano, Japan in 2009 and again in 2013.
The Horiuchi Foundation also supported Oliver’s 2009 solo exhibition at Koumimachi Kougen Museum, Japan and sponsored the exhibition’s publication.
Oliver returned to Nagano in 2013 to continue his work.
Born in Reading, 1973. Currently lives and works in Gloucestershire, UK.
Since Graduating from Edinburgh College of Art, Scotland, Oliver has exhibited his artworks and enjoyed widespread acclaim throughout the world, including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, the United States, Mexico, New Zealand and Japan. A member of the generation to emerge after the so-called YBAs (Young British Artists), Marsden has nevertheless inherited the energy of that generation, perhaps a result of his having once worked in the studio of leading YBA, Damien Hirst.
