Charity Concerts for Earthquake and Tsunami

‪One year after the Earthquake and Tsunami devastated Japan on 11 March 2011, the Horiuchis helped to organize a series of charity opera concerts for fundraising dedicated to the victims and survivors of the Tsunami in collaboration with Furusato Kaiki (Returning to Hometown) Support Centre, Kyoto International Forum, L’Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Tokyo, Shinshu Matsubara-Kogen Opera Masterclass and Fukushima Central Television.

They organised and participated in five charity performances, one in Tokyo and others in the most affected areas of Tohoku.

The total amount raised was donated to the Committee on Construction of Ishinomaki Myouga Village, Miyagi Prefecture.

The Horiuchis also wished to encourage and give hope to people in the most affected areas through Music.
